Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is a Firefox bug or a Gentoo bug, but I've not had the issue on any other distribution.
When I first start my computer (a new Dell XPS M1330 with Ubuntu pre-installed) and log into KDE, one of the first things I usually do is start Firefox to browse the web. The only problem is, I click on the K-Menu to start it and nothing happens. ps -A confirms that the firefox process is running, but it does open a window. If I issue "killall firefox" and try to start it again, this fixes it and I can go about browsing like normal.
The funny thing is, usually when Firefox is terminated manually or crashes, it always has the session manager pop up first thing. However, when I start it the second time it doesn't come up with this option, even though I just terminated the process abnormally.
Any idea what's going on? I haven't yet tried remerging the program or running it from the terminal, but I'll do that next time I booth if I remember.
Thanks in advance!
