I was trying to help a friend with a fortran program, so I emerged ifc, but when I ran it I got this stupid junk | Code: | # ifort vec_sample.f90
Error: A license for FCompL is not available (-2,413,2).
License file(s) used were (in this order):
1. /opt/intel/fc/10.0.026/licenses/flicense.lic
2. /home/doubleagent/intel/licenses
3. /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Intel/Licenses
4. /root/intel/licenses
5. /opt/intel/fc/10.0.026/bin/*.lic
Please visit http://support.intel.com/support/performancetools/support.htm if you require technical assistance.
ifort: error #10052: could not checkout FLEXlm license
| I don't care about any support - I just want to run the compiler. Any ideas? _________________

Thanks for the quick response , but even by then it was too late.
Why can't they [intel] just make it work?!
EDIT: My fault. I just now realized there was a fortran compiler in the gcc. *facepalm* _________________
