|
|
hi,
I have a fresh install ~amd64 and I would like to use totem in firefox. I should install media-video/totem with xulrunner and nothing, if I set nsplugin it installs net-libs/xulrunner :1.8 [S 1.8.1.16] and firefox uses vers 1.9
shouldn't the xulrunner flag do for firefox3 what nsplugin did for firefox2 ?
any ideeas?

Totem provides an NPAPI compatible plugin, no matter which version of xulrunner was used to compile it.
In other words, you can use totem compiled with xulrunner with any version of Firefox. |

I am using ~amd64 too. Base on my past week experience trying to watch Olympics live in the browser, totem seems to work poorly with live feed, it works on some, but many fail. I use vlc now. |

I guess I just have to install totem with nsplugin with xulrunner :1.8 and totem is working with firefox3 but I have xulrunner :1.8 for nothing |
