I reemerge python.
and execute /usr/sbin/python-updater.
But, there is package.mask problem. Code: |
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies /
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "=sys-apps/policycoreutils-1.34.1" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- sys-apps/policycoreutils-1.34.1 (masked by: package.mask)
/usr/portage/profiles/default/linux/package.mask:
# Shouldn't be merging these SELinux packages on this profile
# but this keeps repoman happy since they require >=glibc-2.4
# 20061009 pebenito
For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

Since that package has now been masked the best thing to do is set your profile correctly for SELinux, or you will have to set /etc/portage/package.unmask correctly and emerge it manually, then run python-updater again.
Since updating python can sometimes give problems updating other packages, if it stops due to an error, then restart with emerge --resume --skipfirst. Then after getting thru them go back and re-try the one(s) you had to skip past. Sometimes the build order is wrong causing the errors the first time around. _________________ Brian
