I've been trying to compile wvstreams (and wvdial) for nearly a month now.
I get thi error:

have you tried to merge net-libs/wvstreams-4.4.1?
Try changing you CFLAGS to just -O2 instead of -Os.
Also you need to post more of the error, like 100lines or so.

I see errers of valgrind and qt missing. shouldn't need qt, but am trying valgrind first to see if that makes a difference

yea i just realized after i told you to try 4.4.1 that one doesn't work either.... because i forgot about the problems this has with gcc-4.3..

yes, i am starting to consider a downgrade to 3.3.6, especially as i also need qemu
