ati-drivers & 2.6.25 kernel Bug #218422

In the bug system it says the the problem has been resolved and a patch file is provided. So how come when I try to emerge ati-drivers I still see this error, and it won't compile against a 2.6.25 kernel.

It's marked as "RESOLVED UPSTREAM", which isn't the same as fixed in the tree, and from the look of the attached patch on the bug report it may not actually be legal for gentoo to distribute it, but it's there for you to manually patch it if you want or really need it.

I see, so how do I use this patch file.

What are the steps?
