Hi,
I want to use Gentoo with openmosix and a kernel version around 2.4.20. Is it possible to use the latest install CD and downgrade to kernel 2.4 afterwards or do I need to get an old Gentoo release from pre-2005? I searched through several mirrors but I can't find any releases earlier than 2007.
Thanks for your help |

glis,
You need an old pre udev gentoo to use gentoo on a 2.4 kernel
You will find it difficult to get the tarballs you need and a suitable portage tree.
Openmosix seems to have died in the port to the 2.6 kernel but I have heard that its remains were forked and work continued under a new name. _________________ Regards,
