reiserfs undelete help

hi, i deleted an directory on my reiser fs based gentoo installation...is there an undelete possible?

i aborted the rm operation immediately after i saw that i start deleting the wrong directory and turned off the system


are there some undelete utilities i can use by booting from a livecd / rescuecd?

There are some things you could try.

Hard turning off the system is indeed the right choice. Using a file carving utility on the raw device or backup is another possibility to the attempt to restore the fs. ReiserFS doesn't provide any undelete feature and such a feature isn't needed a all, provided you keep backups.

You might try SystemRescueCd.
