All my file associations seem to be messed up in gnome. No matter what file I right click on I get the same open with menu. It doesn't seem to know which file type is which any more. Nautilus also doesn't thumbnail my images any more and displays all files as if they are text files. I also know it is something with this user only on this computer.....if I log in as root or another user everything is fine. I tried removing all .gnome, .nautilus, and .gconf files which reset all my desktop setting EXCEPT this open problem. Where is the setting that controls this? |

The associations can also be changed in ~/.local/, might be something in there. |

Good
There are getting to be too many places where stuff like this can hide. |
