Well,
Dunno if this is already suggested, but I thought it would be nice to have a nice forum frontpage where all active topics of all forums pass by...
That way you could easily follow the topics you're watching and it gets more effective for those specialists out here to help n00bs like me :s

That would be an enhancement request for phpBB and not for Gentoo in particular.
We don't make changes to the standard phpBB software, but I urge you to file an enhancement request over at www.phpbb.org

Well,
Actually such mods do exist.
Anyway this was a suggestion to apply ON the gentoo forums, just to make them more effective.
In the general description of this forum stands :

There are Top10 for the most active and most viewed topics on the statistics page.
And you can look at the threads you replied to with the egosearch

I've seen this on another forum (TheTube) and I thnik it looks rather hideous. It could be because the whole forum is modded up to the eyeballs though and it all adds to the confusion. I love the fact that Gentoo forums is simple.
You can always click View posts since last visit if you want to see what's happened since you were last here.

I also think this would be hideous and I have to say that pYrania's method is what I use. It's much easier to follow posts that you've already posted to. If you get done with that, you can then browse for a few new threads to follow. This way, you never bite off more than you can chew, sorta.
