IPL Error

Hello,

I have just finished building my kernel...5 hour build on a HP 9000 k220. I followed all of the instructions but now get an error when trying to boot from the Hard drive.

Error reading IPL. IPL Bad Checksum.

Does anyone know what I might have done wrong?

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Gentoo on Alternative Architectures.
HPPA architecture, so moved here.
