Hello,

I 've got a problem. My website works when I type www.site.com, but when typing http://site.com it's not working, it gives a page error.

why is that, should I change something in Apache?

Thank you!

this is probably a DNS issue, actually.

I forget exactly what to do, though.

Are you doing your own DNS, or are you going through someone else?

It depends what error you're getting. If your web browser is telling you the the domain doesn't exist, then it means it's a DNS issue.

If you're getting an apache error, or your default vhost, then it means you need to add that domain to the virtual host configuration for the site (using ServerAlias).

If you gave us the domain name in question, or described the exact error message you're getting, we'd be able to pinpoint the problem better.

That's just an example, it's not the real domain.

When I click on it, it gives the "cannot display the webpage" error.

ServerAlias is set on there.

Solved by inserting in the domain zone:

www A first_dns_server
domain.com A first_dns_server

Find first_dns_server:

host domain.com (for example)
