|
|
Trying to return to Gentoo after some time with Ubunu. Using minimal CD on an AMD 64. Following the handbook, all is well until kernel:
Error: sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-2.6.24-r8 failed.
Call stack:
ebuild.sh, line 1641: Called die
The Speciic snippet of code:
Preprocess_ebuild_env || \
die "error processing environment"
What now?

| I'd be happy to, but that was the whole error message. The build log file it refers me to has exactly the same text, no more no less. |

Different kernel would not actually have helped, as I could not emerge anything. ending up rebooting, remounting the partitions, re-entering chroot and now kernel-sources worked. Obviously, I musta have missed a step the first time around....
All is well (for now), thanks for the suggestions. |
