Hi all.
I'm using Gentoo 2008.0 beta2 on my Powerbook G4 ppc32 and i must say, it's amazing.
Everything is working fine and better of all, fast, super fast.
The most great of all was the Openoffice 2.4 compilation time - half of the time then before.
With Gentoo 2007.0 ppc, compiling openoffice would take forever (almost a day) and now, in six hours, its done! How is it possible?
The specs of my powerbook G4:

I don't know how to help the gentoo ppc team, but that is absolutely a great work! Thx all of you !

Most likely you are using different USE flags, which enable/disable certain things that took much longer to compile. |
