kounqueror working fine now.:)

however, i can not use kmail for pop3 with ssl. I'm getting an error like
Quote:

the process for the pop3s://mail.utkalika.net protocol died unexpectedly.

I have reinstalled kde-cvs with USE="ssl" flag. still no change.

Hello everyone. I've been working on an install script that automates the whole process of installing the KDE-CVS ebuilds and binary packages.

It pretty much does it all from downloading the files, to checking to see if you have the ebuilds installed and installs them as well if necessary.

It's also possible to uninstall the ebuilds and/or binary packages with the script.

Some testing would be appreceated (insert standard disclaimer here :o) If you want to give the script a shot you can grab it from here.

Simply run it and it will do the rest. To uninstall, simply run the script with the option "uninstall"

If you've already downloaded the kde-binary packages from iamlarryboy's site, please put them in the same directory as the script to avoid wasting poor larrys bandwidth :)

Please let me know how it goes.

*Edited url to change it to new version

Hello Gents,

I use KDE-3.1.3. I just wanted to enquire if there are any noticable improvements in KDE-CVS and what I could be expecting in KDE-3.2. Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Mystilleef

It is fast. Really fast. The KDE guys have been doing some funky memory managment stuff.

The panel can be transparent.

The splash screen is themeable from the control panel.

These are just the things I have noticed.

I've made a minor fix to the script. There was a minor typo in the uninstallation section. The new version can be found here

I've also updated my orginal post with the new url.

I fiddled a little with no succes. It also looks like the guy who does the debian packages is also having problems. I think it is probably a problem with either the ebuilds or cvs itself. If I find time I'll look into it more and let you know.

I finally got i18n working. By request I may include a snapshot (of a given language) with the next build.

Todays features:

A completely automated script.
A surprise feature

I'll decide whether or not to keep the feature based upon feedback so let me know what you think.
