If I have 3x computers, A, B, and C, each setup and working with DistCC, and each are setup to distribute to each other, i.e. A distributes to B and C, B distributes to A and C, and so on. If I emerge something on A it will distribute to itself, B and C. Now, with that job from A, will B try to distribute once again to C and back to A as well?
So, my question boils down to in this setup, will DistCC continue to distribute circularily, or will it stop at the machines explicitly listed in distccd.conf? I can see where this would be both incredibly amazing (remote machines all distribute to the same server which then distributes to a variable number of nodes), and I can see why this wouldn't be implemented (i.e. my situation above.) |

No, I have never seen it do that and I have used 10 systems in my builds at work. _________________ John
