Baselayout2 and Openrc crashed my X server [SOLVED]

I just upgraded to baselayout2 and openrc and now X won't start. I get the following fatal error:

[audiodef]

K...

Something in the rc4 kernel didn't work. I had re-emerged xorg and ran revdep-rebuild, which didn't help X.

On a hunch, I copied an rc3 kernel backup to /boot and rebooted - presto! X is back.

I'll look in the kernel config and see/post what I find out.

Wah da tah!

Video for linux needs to be compiled into the rc4 kernel. It wasn't a baselayout issue at all.

Hope this proves useful to others.

OpenRC runs my machine MUCH faster!
