Cross-Compiling with Icecream x86<->x86-64

I'm using icecream [1] with a cross-compiling-setup since some months and it's working GREAT so far!
But what I'm wondering about is that when emerging in x86 the x86_64-nodes are compiling the x86-code, but when emerging in x86_64 the x86-nodes are stayin' bored.

Any ideas on that?
