Cannot start vmware anymore, get the following error | Quote: | # vmware
process 10754: Attempt to remove filter function 0xb5a293a0 user data 0x83c54d8, but no such filter has been added
D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace

Workaround I used to do was run "/etc/init.d/dbus stop" then startup vmware. But now since I updated xorg I cannot preform the command "/etc/init.d/dbus stop" without xorg shutting down 
Any idea on how to solve the above vmware error?

Having the same issue with Vmware, but I'm having issue with Hal. What are the requirements for hald to run? When I attempt to start it I get the error:
* Service hald starting [ !! ]
* ERROR: hald failed to start

What do you get when you try and start hald manually? | Code: | | hald --daemon=no --verbose=yes |
