|
|
Hi,
since some weeks copy/paste behaves quite strange in all kde text editors (kwrite, kate, kdevelop, ...).
After pasting text into such an editor, the cursor is placed at the end of the first pasted line. This is not as is has been before, and it is very counterproductive. I don't know what caused the change of the behaviour. Does anyone have similar problems or a solution?
Thanks,

| copy/paste works as expected here, but one idea is either renaming your .kde3.5 directory or creating a new user and seeing if the problem still occurs with a blank kde profile. This distinguishes between a settings problem or bad software somewhere. |

Thanks for your reply.
I have created a new user, but it's the same problem.
To clarify the copy-paste behaviour, here is an example. If I copy (ctrl-c) three lines
And press ctrl-v three times, I get this result:
This occures in kwrite, kate, kdevelop etc., but not in a text-edit field in konqueror.
I am using kde-3.5.9 for daily use. In kde-4 apps the problem does not exist. _________________ RaraRasputin, lover of the Russian Queen |
