The Gentoo Handbook advices to use 2008 beta 2 installcd but I cannot find that anywhere.. Should I wait for it to be available?
I am asking because I get errors using beta 1..
So it would be nice to have an idea what I should do to get gentoo installed... |

I saw the beta 2 ISOs at: http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/where.xml
The documentation may have been updated before the ISO's were up since they just released today. I'd have to check, but I'm fairly sure I used the 2007.0 for my last install, which works fantastic (posting from that machine). You'll be able to upgrade to the latest available packages once installed, so I can't think of any huge advantage of the 2008 betas if you have issues with those. |

One of the big advantages of the 2008.0 beta stage3 would be that you won't run into the expat update problems. But you can use that stage3 even with another LiveCD.
