|

Hi folks,
I am facing a new problem.
I have an Asus A7U laptop (athlon 64 TK55, mostly based on ATI devices). It took me time to get nearly everything working on it, but I still can't make ACPI working under gentoo.
But when I boot with an Ubuntu LiveCD, there is absolutely no problem ! ACPI is working fine.. So I must have the ACPI=off in my gentoo boot line, otherwise the laptop will freeze when booting just after something like "Registered Net protocol 2 ...".
I have tried a couple of things, like enabling the same options in my kernel as in the ubuntu kernel, but it still does not want to start.
Any idea ? Has anyone already faced this issue on this particular laptop ?
Cheers,
Nicolas |

Hello everyone!
Nowadays, I have exactly the same problem. Is there any solution that you found, nmartin_pl ? When I start to kernel with acpi=off, everything is ok. But when I start to kernel with acpi enabled, laptop freeze when booting. How can I figure out this problem?
