I know this drive works because I can boot to another OS and recognize it. I've loaded sata_via and also tried booting using the doataraid option, as suggested in another post. Neither worked. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I suspect the source of the problem might be that the drives are operating at 3.0Gb/s. As soon as I find a jumper to limit them to 1.5Gb/s I'll update...
Does anyone know how to enable support for SATA II on gentoo? my forum searches haven't turned anything up... |

Looks like the problem was the 3.0Gb/s drives... any suggestions on kernel support? Googling doesn't seem to turn up anything... |
