|
|
Hi,
I am using pam_mount to automatically decrypt a partition encrypted with cryptsetup-luks.
pam_mount depends on sys-fs/cryptsetup though, which is mutually exclusive with sys-fs/cryptsetup-luks. When installing pam_mount, I worked around this issue with emerge --nodeps pam_mount, then manually emerging its dependencies sans sys-fs/cryptsetup. Now that a new version of pam_mount is out, this conflict blocks my emerge -uD world.
Of course I can pull the same trick again - emerge pam_mount's dependencies, emerge --nodeps pam_mount, then emerge -u world. There are two drawbacks though: First this process is a bit tedious, and second (and worse), pam_mount's dependency on cryptsetup remains, so I can never emerge -uD world again.
Ah yes, emerging pam_mount with the "crypt"-USE flag disabled does not help.
Any help in working around this? Am I missing something? I'm asking here before I file a bug... _________________ If you like this thought, try some more: http://hyperspace-travel.de/blog
