first of all got no idea why gnome-menu needs a kernel version....
I removed gnome to try experimenting some other stuffs 'fluxbox" en now im stuck on this error when "emerge -avuDN world"...the process dies several time on gnome-menu cant resolve kernel version...im running "amd64" with gentoo-sources-2.6.24.Here is the part of the error:

Ive tried to recompile gentoo-sources, linux-headers...with no luck...any help would be appreciated..
He was right:My kernel pointed to some older kernel version...
