Skyclad is one of my favorite bands. Since I didn't want to just take that name, I reformulated it to Clad in Sky. End of story.
It's not that I use it for all and everything, but quite a lot.

I named my computer ziggy after the computer in Quantum Leap and I also like cryptozoology so seeing as ziggy as a username is usually taken, I combined the two into ziggysquatch.

Maliwik - It was a name that I created in the year 2000 for a username on Ultima Online. It's derived from the country Malawi in southeastern Africa which I've always wanted to visit my entire life (judging from pictures, it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen). I changed the second a to an i and added a k onto the end of it to make it sound a little more "medieval" sounding for the game I was playing at the time.

The name stuck with me and I've had it ever since. Many people I know still call me it instead of my real name, Mike.

Edit: Just a quick reference for anyone who's interested.

Some pictures of Malawi
81 good pictures of the area
Some more beautiful pictures of the area - Warning, this one is hosted on Tripod so has some popups. The pictures on this one are amazing though.

I know, I'm a fanatic. Not to turn this thread into a tourist advertising destination, but I guess if you see some of the pictures, you'll partially know my reasoning for admiring the place and choosing a name related to it.

I love Futurama, and this would be the name of an Invading Alien King... or Emperor or something...

Funny you mention that...as I was building my system, and watching the geek screensaver go by... and of course, it was right in the middle of compiling glib.... so yes... this was a major influence.... I'm convinced the Devs are also writing for Futurama...

My username is one I created when I needed a new one that would be easy for my friends to tell it was me.

The 'ShadowCat' part was from a powerful dream I had as a child of a big black panther and '8' is one of my favorite numbers. Something I would use on certain boards was saying that it was "infinity standing at attention." 8) hehe

I wonder how I missed this topic.

"Kenji Miyamoto" was the pseudonym I went by in Japanese class in high school. Now I got by "Kenji Takeshita" or "Takeshita Kenji" since my grandmother's maiden name is Takeshita.
