[SOLVED]aMSN don't save changes

Hi there
My aMSN is not being able to save some changes, like my personal message and personal nicknames I give to my contacts. Things is "Preferences" tab works fine. To be more specific, it can't change the abook.xml file.
I already checked if there's a permission problem, but the permissions are okay.

Something I notices is that if I don't set the "remember me" box, it saves everything in ~/.amsn/abook.xml propertly. If I check, it creates a ~/.amsn/[e-mail]/ directory, but can't create abook.xml, and so it can't save the new things...

I'm using the lastest version, amsn-0.97
Any clue?

Maybe you should reset the setting from amsn.

Remove the .amsn directory from your home and retry.

Be sure to use a profile.
Check the status_log (ctrl+s on the contact list). If there's an error, it should be written there.

It is good to know that exists a logfile XD
I don't know what exactly I'm looking for... an "error" is a red text? Should I post all the log here for you take a look?

By "having a profile", i mean that you have set the "remember me" checkbox. Then it'll save your options.
If needed, you can send me the log via PM as it may have private information.

Now I already send it to here XD
And yeah, I have a profile. If I don't keep the profile it saves the abook.xml in ~/.amsn with all nicknames and configurations working fine...

I don't understand why it fails. What file system do you use ?
Have you checked the rights on the files ?

Yeah, I checked, it was one of the first things I did.
My filesystem type is reiserfs.

God, I hate to keep registering every single forum of every single software I install in my machine.
And amsn forum banned my e-mail, 'cause I registered it a million years ago, and the account become inactive.

For the love of God, may Google conquer the world soon, and I can use just a single account to do everything!!

billiob, can you please see the problem with my e-mail, or re-activate my account?? ( are you the same billiob from there, aren't you? )

Have you tried with an other account ?
What if you create the abook.xml by hand ?

In the status_log , try to save it with :
::abook::saveToDisk /tmp/abook.xml

(yes, i'm the same one:))

Well, I tried to take a look at the source code, and I saw this function. Seems that the function that REALY saves the abook.xml is saveToDisk2, which is called by saveToDisk.
I tried to put a "message box" when someone calls this function but seems that not worked ( or not worked or this function is never called ).
Tcl is an interpreted language, right? So I don't need to compile it after change, right?

Someway I disabled my loopback interface, and it wasn't in rc-update. When amsn tried to access the loopback socket, it couldn't, so couldn't save the abook.xml too...
Now, the loopback is activated and everything working...
