Is this useful to you? I just don't understand why changing the router makes me lose the Internet connection (it's properly configured because others machines can access Internet). Please help me!!
BTW: Do you think that if I boot from install CD I could get any important info? |

I solved by myself.
I decided to boot from install CD, and neither I could connect. I had a look at gentoo's installing manual and said that net-setup utility should solve it, and indeed it did it. Then I booted the hard disk and realized I hadn't that utility and of course it's impossible to emerge it connectionless (actually it's a shell and I thinks it's just for live-cd). So I knew the solution but not how to solve it...
So as I guessed, it wasn't problem of anything but some config file, and that one was /etc/resolv.conf. I mounted my hard disk and compared my resolv.conf with the one created by net-setup, and they were different. After overwriting my file now I have again Internet!
Thanks anyway turtles, you've been the only one who's dared to try on. |
