Hi,
I have some problems to open some japanese documents with OpenOffice
I can write/save new files in japanese and open it, but some others, it fails systematically to open (OOo crashes) even if I can open it on a M$ Windows based openoffice. It leaves me no choice but to recover file, but even though, it fails
I can't see how I can resolve this problem...
Need some help please ^^ |

Hi,
I see similar problems trying to open Chinese documents.
OpenOffice crashes during startup with the message: | Quote: | | Due to an unexpected error, OpenOffice.org crashed. All the files you were working on will ow be saved. The next time OpenOffice.org is launched, your files will be recovered automatically. |

In my case I think the problem was solved by installing some additional fonts:
| Code: | | # emerge -a zh-kcfonts arphicfontsD |
Maybe it can be something similar in you case? Maybe the ones you cannot open needs some special font? |
