Maybe I'm little bit crazy, but I know for a fact that X.ORG doesn't need a /etc/X11/xorg.conf at all to test and X server.

So remove it, and test if your X server will work.

ok i removed the /etc/X11/xorg.conf and still have the problem here it is again

I would try the intel driver, you will need to add it to /etc/make.conf like;

I had the same (same error anyway) problem using genkernel and the default config. Section 4 of the link posted above (thanks for the that) fixed my problem:

genkernel --menuconfig all and enable the agpgart stuff in section 4 and it worked for me.
