been tryin 2 set a static ip address done this numerous times before with no problems but when i try to bring eth0 up i get the error below aint got a clue what i could be missing?
/etc/conf.d/net: line 2: syntax error near unexpected token `"default via 192.168.1.1"'
/etc/conf.d/net: line 2: `routes_eth0("default via 192.168.1.1")'
config_eth0=("192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0" )
routes_eth0("default via 192.168.1.1")

you forgot the = after routes_eth0
