when i ran emerge -Dupv today, i got this message:

any idea what is happening here? why is glibc masked?

The current stable version of sys-libs/glibc is 2.6.1 and the testing version is 2.7-r1 , so glibc shouldn't be masked unless you added it to /etc/portage/package.mask
What happens if you do this ?

you're right, i had glibc in package.mask  no idea why. now it's working as it is supposed to. thanks!  |
