I just did a fresh install and started my world update. I go through nearly all of it and now I am getting the following error. /usr/portage/bin/lib64/ebuild no such file or directory on any package I try to update. It started doing this after the update of poratage was completed.

Looks like your portage is broken
| Code: | $ equery belongs /usr/lib64/portage/bin/ebuild.sh
[ Searching for file(s) /usr/lib64/portage/bin/ebuild.sh in *... ]
sys-apps/portage-2.1.3.19 (/usr/lib64/portage/bin/ebuild.sh) |
See if you are using sys-apps/portage-2.1.3.19 by executing emerge --version
Then since it's the same version as mine you could get away with using my ebuild.sh
If not, or it's still giving you a related portage error, here's how you reinstall the portage utility -

You work it manually, it has somewhat better performance, but it's really for the fun of it. |

csalsb,
Also when posting new problems, edit your original post instead of adding a new one.
That keeps your thread in the -unanswered- list and makes it easier for the rest of us to find after 24 hours. _________________ Gentoo is the stick-shift of Linux.
