|
|
When I enter in Quick Search: portage
I get
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 39 bytes) in /nfs/disk/data/www/virtual/forums.gentoo.org/search.php on line 349
I've modified the title of this post so it's more applicable and noticeable, as you can't search for "24" on this forum, Puggy |

Code: | Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in /nfs/disk/data/www/virtual/forums.gentoo.org/search.php on line 240

I agree, but I must admit that I thought those responsible would actually _read_ the feedback group. - Why else have it? _________________ regards,

That's a mistery! But not the place to talk about misteries. Perhaps a PM could do the trick... |

Perhaps it's just what it is: the server needs more RAM... |

I get the same error message as well sometimes, but searching for kernel and then gentoo did not give it so perhaps it is solved. |

Bump. Still broken. This is my preferred browse method - that's why I'm bumping it.

Bump.
Hmm normally I wouldn't bother, but according to the error message it's about a measly 35 bytes.
What is the problem about really?
I admit I know only very little about SQL, but
SELECT * FROM posts WHERE date < currentdate
seems a lot less mem hungry than
SELECT * FROM posts WHERE content LIKE searchstring
which works..
Enlighten me. _________________ Please put [SOLVED] in your topic if you are a moron. |
