i've looked all over for this answer, and i can not find it, but i might be looking in the wrong places. i downlaoded the Glut library from SGI and compiled it by hand. by whenever i emerge anything with openGL, it starts to download and compile the Glut from Mesa, which i do not want. How can i set up emerge so if i compile something by hand, it will use it at as dependency for other programs?

i hope this makes sense....

thanks....
