Hi I'm hanging in the air...
I did:
emerge portage
emerge-webrsync
emerge --update system
emerge --update world
with success
Problem 1:
emerge --update --deep --newuse world
stops with media-libs/fontconfig-2.5.0-r1

emerge --update --deep --newuse world gives me:

Problem 2:
while emerge world an update from apache 2.0.5x to 2.2.6-r7 took place...
| Quote: | emerge -pv apache
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] www-servers/apache-2.2.6-r7 USE="doc ssl -debug -ldap (-selinux) -sni -static -suexec -threads" APACHE2_MODULES="actions alias asis auth_digest authz_host autoindex cache dav deflate dir env expires filter headers include info log_config logio mime negotiation proxy rewrite setenvif speling status unique_id userdir usertrack -auth_basic -authn_alias -authn_anon -authn_dbd -authn_dbm -authn_default -authn_file -authz_dbm -authz_default -authz_groupfile -authz_owner -authz_user -cern_meta -charset_lite -dav_fs -dav_lock -dbd -disk_cache -dumpio -ext_filter -file_cache -ident -imagemap -log_forensic -mem_cache -mime_magic -proxy_ajp -proxy_balancer -proxy_connect -proxy_ftp -proxy_http -version -vhost_alias" APACHE2_MPMS="-event -itk -peruser -prefork -worker" 0 kB |
looks this correct? because
apache2ctl configtest shows:
| Quote: | apache2ctl configtest
* Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ]
* Checking Apache Configuration ...
* Apache2 has detected a syntax error in your configuration files:
Syntax error on line 124 of /etc/apache2/vhosts.d/virtual.conf:
Invalid command 'AuthUserFile', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration [ !! ] |
ANY Help ?
MANNNNY thanks in advance!
with regards
Georg

For your first problem: Try emerge -1 app-text/sgml-common first (or disable the doc USE flag for fontconfig), then retry... _________________ Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level, then beats you with experience.
