Hi,

i tryed to install hwinfo but now i got one isssue

localhost xxx # emerge hwinfo
Calculating dependencies \
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "hwinfo" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- sys-apps/hwinfo-8.38 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)
- sys-apps/hwinfo-13.0 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)
- sys-apps/hwinfo-13.28 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)

For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
refer to the Gentoo Handbook.

I took a look to the man Page but I didn't found the hint to solve this.

I also tryed to add
>=sys-apps/hwinfo-13.28
to my /etc/portage/package.mask but nothing changed
and I tryed to do emerge sys-apps/hwinfo-13.28.

But nothing helped.

Thank you for your help.

The file you need to add it too is "/etc/portage/package.keywords", not "/etc/portage/package.mask".

package.mask is what you use when you want to mask a package yourself to prevent portage from installing it.
