Hi.

After upgrade Apcupsd to apcupsd-3.12.4 powerflute does not work - just exits with empty output.

You mean apcupsd? Yes, several times with different USE flags - the same. Today, I'll try upgrade on another machine and watch for results.

Booboo.

I don't know. The only thing I can think of is to suggest looking for log messages as you try to start powerflute.

Switching NETSERVER to on in apcupsd.conf file solved the problem. Now, it seems that powerflute needs NIS server enabled to work.

I don't know enough about it personally. This might give you some insight though:
http://www.apcupsd.com/manual/Building_Installing_apcupsd.html

From that document, it does look like it relies on NIS.
