Ovviamente questa è solo una parte di tutti gli errori che ha dato. Di questo problema se ne parla pure qui https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=64433
Insomma, morale della favola evitate di fare il sync del portage tree finchè non si saprà cosa è successo. |

Aggiungere il seguente mirror di sync aggiusta la situazione...

corretto però continuo ad avere errori quando compilo qualcosa...anzi no ancora prima...quando scompatta.

ho trovato la risposta nel topic postato da bsolar
salvarsi /etc/make.conf (che viene cancellato)
cd /usr/portage/sys-apps/portage/files/
tar xjpUvf portage-rescue-2.0.47-r10-x86.tbz2 -C /
emerge portage ^^ |
