I've just started moving away from the whole eye-candy thing. I probably will hold out on KDE4 for a while. I have Xfce 4.4 on here and dwm, and I love my dwm session! It's amazing! _________________ BSD > SysV > Linux

You have to change some bash variable in the script to make it a 2x2 grid for 4 desktops instead of the 3x3 in my screenshot. _________________ I have shit in my britches. Hang it around your neck and wipe your mouth on it. -- Martin Luther |

Wow, what kind of a monitor do you have? I want one too.

I think suffer is a relative term - 1440x900 rocks the crap out of the first ever 'VDU' I had it's last year's dell 30" - got it on a promo at 50% _________________ I tried installing Suse Linux off the Internet. It got stuck in the middle somewhere.Installing off the Internet is for the birds. |

Yeah, of course. I remember the times I was more than happy with 640x480.
This one just seems a tad too small for my needs.

Nice.
So how much did you pay for it? Been happy with it? I'm thinking about a monitor upgrade.. |

don't actually remember exactly but taking into account exchange rates probably US$800 (?)
very happy with it - using an nvidia 7950gt but those new 8800gt-512s on the n92 tech (close to 8800gtx) are catching my attention _________________ I tried installing Suse Linux off the Internet. It got stuck in the middle somewhere.Installing off the Internet is for the birds. |

My last KDE3 screenshot. Tomorrow I switch to KDE4. A moment of silence in remembrance of a wonderful DE.

@justwantstohelp:
how is here but I used cairo-dock from svn (not awn) and launch it with cairo-dock --glitz; it's very cool and will do stacks just like the OSX launcher and I like that the launcher for rhythmbox will grab the cover-art and show played/remaining time plus a few other fancy tricks
why? why not? because it's funny when people get confused? I actually quite like the OSX look, but then I do own a G4 PowerBook so it would be odd if I didn't. On my frankenbox I'm only linux and I flit between gnome, ob, e17, and flux but usually come back to gnome - it's a lot more flexible than people think _________________ I tried installing Suse Linux off the Internet.
