Actually, i got the same thing the first time i installed it...but it was due to something i did wrong (not gentoo's fault...PURE user error and you should be :oops:

for even acting that way, IMHO.) After re-reading all the grub info i could find and rewriting it the RIGHT way, it worked.

Well, I think that jamitupya should RTFM and then write to this forum if he still haven't soloved his problem. But, on the other hand, why's Gentoo using GRUB? Why not LILO?
