Unless it's using -Werror (it's not), then those warnings are just that: warnings. Common warnings, too. You see that all the time w/ any number of packages. The real error is this:
| Code: |
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.2/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: i386 architecture of input file `fft4gasm.o' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output

I'm having the same problem. I can't figure out where to put the new makefile posted as a fix for that.

I had the same problem with musepack-tools on trying to emerge soundkonverter (it's one of its dependencies).
Being new to Gentoo my solution may or may not be a "recommended" one, but I did this:
1. Followed the WIKI guide to create an updated ebuild http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Create_an_Updated_Ebuild in a local overlay.
I copied all files from the original ebuild and only renamed the original ebuild file to musepack-tools-1.15v-r2.ebuild
2. Edited the file musepack-tools-1.15v-Makefile.patch to incorporate the make.diff posted at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188160
My version became:
| Code: | --- sv7/Makefile.orig 2007-12-17 10:02:42.000000000 -0800
+++ sv7/Makefile 2007-12-17 10:07:16.000000000 -0800

3. emerged my local overlay copy with emerge /usr/local/portage/media-sound/musepack-tools/musepack-tools-1.15v-r2.ebuild
I was then able to resume the emerge of soundkonverter. It all seems to work OK.
Of course without this forum and the WIKI I would have got nowhere.... |

Just wanted to add, I did the same, but had to run emerge it like this:
| Code: | | MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge musepack-tools |
or else the build would fail, complaining of a missing config.h |

Run into the same problem today with media-sound/musepack-tools-1.15v.
By switching to media-sound/musepack-tools-1.15v-r1 it was possible to emerge. |

I had to use the following 3 fixes:
- "MAKEOPTS="-j1"
- -r2 ebuild from the bug report
- use unstable ~amd64 for nasm to get 2.02 instead of -0.98.39-r3 |
