|
|
Hi, when I do a subversion commit the following occurs:
Code: | Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
Sending sample.m
Transmitting file data .. |
and then locks that terminal. Further, I can't log in as that user until I reboot. If I stay logged in, some things work and others don't. This has been happening for several days, the only way to ensure that I can log in again is to reboot. (There may be other ways but I haven't found them yet.)
One other thing I've noticed: I can't restart x:
Code: | # /etc/init.d/xdm restart
* Stopping kdm ...
Would send signal 15 to 5260.
Would send signal 15 to 5138.
* Error stopping kdm |
After rebooting, subversion commits work again for a day or two and then it happens again. Any ideas? |

likely the xauth warnings are emitted by ssh, are you using ssh transfers?
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with subversion or kde for that matter; what happens if you don't use X (try clearing the DISPLAY environment variable before mucking with it, or perhaps console?) _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

Yes, I can confirm they are emmitted by ssh. I included the info thinking ssh could be to blame.
Do you mean clearing the display on the localhost? I guess I don't know exactly what you mean.
This occurs with a remote transfer as well, after which I can't log in as that user anymore or use the terminal. Can I clear the variable in the terminal that crashed...?
Thanks, |
