Hey!
I have a small problem with mplayer. It always displays movies in small window. Changing to full screen doesn't help - there appears big black frame around still small movie window. Using -geometry and -zoom options also doesn't help. The problem is probably in video output driver. Available drivers are:
szczelba@localhost ~/shaun_of_the_dead $ gmplayer -vo help
MPlayer dev-SVN-rUNKNOWN-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team

Available video output drivers:

xover General X11 driver for overlay capable video output drivers
dga DGA ( Direct Graphic Access V2.0 )
null Null video output
mpegpes Mpeg-PES file
yuv4mpeg yuv4mpeg output for mjpegtools

I found somewhere information that I should try xv or gl2 drivers, but obviously they are not installed. How can I install them?
Thanks,

Compile mplayer with the 'xv' use flag and make sure you are using it as the output video device.
ie vo=xv |

To make mplayer do that every time, run
Code: | echo "vo=xv" >> ~/.mplayer/config |
And it should always use the xv video driver. |
