Hi people,
On an old server at a customer I got firebird 1.5.2 installed and it needs to be updated to 1.5.4.
But in portage only 2.x ebuilds are available .. but the application cannot handle 2.x and needs 1.5.4 ...
Is there any location or other way to get an ebuild for 1.5.4 on the system ?
Cannot find a download anywhere 
Any hints and help appriciated !

All Firefox 1.5.x versions feature more or less severe vulnerabilities, but if you really need to, instead fixing the application, you can grab the dead files in cvs and put them in your overlay.

Ah great Carlo, thank you.
Im well aware of the vulnerablilities, but in this case there is no option to go to 2.x because the application is not under my control and cannot be replaced due limited financial resources of the customer.

You might want to look at the patch sets of distributors, who still support this version, then. Better than having a customer pointing fingers at you because of customer data in black hats hands in the worst case.
