|
|
Does anyone have a clue how/when to get gnome2 versions of gnome apps.
Will a rebuild of some packages work, or do I have to wait for new versions (I don't know if apps can support both gnome1 & gnome2, can a package decide at build time to build for gnome2 if that is available?).
I am using these packages, and according to
http://www.gnomedesktop.com/article.php?sid=499&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0
these packages are available for gnome2 in some form:
gnumeric
abiword
pan
ggv
gimp
galeon
gftp
gaim |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that:
gnumeric
pan
ggv
gimp
gftp
are all emergable (can i say that?)
While:
abiword gaim galeon
Are still in cvs. As far as I know abiword and galeon aren't even close to being ported, though I'm using galeon2 from cvs and it definetely has its quirks, but usable (ahh antialiased galeon is a true pleasure!)
Don't know much about gaim though... anyone?
Hope this helps |
