Hello, although my system is slow, the booting of gentoo could be faster. I've found (using dmesg) the following error with hdd.
Could somebody help me to find out what exactly the bad device: hdd, ide controller? What should i fix and how?
Regards, Alexandr.

Your disk seems to be broken, I'd recommend replacing it.

I've found the article in faq. It's here. I'll use it and then report the result.
