where are the temp internet files to clean?

i use firefox opera and konqueror
my net connection requires clearing of temp temp internet files and cookies once in a while for keeping the connection speed.
which folders have these to clear.
the cache in var looks bery busy with many folders of kde personal etc.
i dare not clear it.
need help.

have you looked into your $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/"something".default/Cache/ folder.

oh btw...change "something".default for your current profile dirname

for firefox it shows cache there is problem in clearing the contents.
operea and konqueror keep the temp elsewhere.
browser clear of cache is better and safe.
it does not clear full cache
