Hey everybody
First off, thanks to everybody for making this distro, from kernel hackers to the helpfull people on #gentoo. U all rule
But i have a suggestion, why not include a lamp.ebuild?
Not that is any problem to grab the packages one at a time, i just think it would be über cool to have a "emerge lamp" since im lazy
Also, it would be kinda cool if the lamp.ebuild was only packaged with the most stable/secure (== probertly not the newest versions) packages available.
just a suggestion, keep up the fantastic work guys |

| Code: |
emerge mysql
emerge php
|
There's no need to install packages one at a time, just pick up a few with most dependencies. Works for me. |

No kurt, it is not that hard at all. But neigther is:
./configure --prefix=whatever
make
make install
but i would perfer a "emerge apache" anyway.
(btw. also, a lamp package could include statically linked mod_perl, for the people who think of the P in lamp as perl)
Nevermind though, i was just a idea. Nothing worth waisting alot of ???´z on. |
