VLC problems

Hi I have emerged VLC player but it does not seem to be appearing in my Gnome menu any ideas on what the problem could be thanks

I presume you installed it with the wxwindows and gnome USE flags enabled?

I had the gnome use fla set
what does wxwidnows do if u dont mind me asking

wxwindows is the flag needed for the gtk+ gui frontend.

Try rebuilding with that first.
